Job Description Commercial Projects Solicitor, 7+ PQE, Leeds, To c£100,000 (DOE). Great opportunity for an experienced Projects Solicitor to join the expanding team of this prestigious national law firm, advising on a wide spectrum of commercial contract matters and procurement work. THE ROLE: This highly regarded firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its growing team. The successful candidate will lead major projects and contribute to the development of innovative contract structures, advising on PFI expiry, variations, and future public–private partnerships. The role includes drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, mentoring junior team members, supporting client training, and driving business development initiatives. There is also the opportunity to gain experience in procurement and develop specialist skills. THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have at least 7 years’ PQE, with substantial technical experience in commercial law, working with government departments or private sector clients contracting with government. You will have strong drafting skills and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice. Experience in public procurement and holding Security Clearance would be advantageous but is not essential. THE FIRM: As part of an award-winning national firm offering a broad range of specialised legal services to commercial and private clients, you will work across diverse sectors - including private sector organisations, government departments, and contracting authorities - on complex and often nationally significant commercial contracts. You will manage your own matters and aspects of major projects, working closely alongside the partners.
