We’re building the AI layer that autonomously runs small businesses. Working alongside technical founder Kai Feller (previous company was UK’s largest bootstrapped exit of $300m), we're assembling an elite founding team that moves fast and gets things done.As a Founding Engineer, you’ll ship step-changing features fast, shaping architecture, and integrating cutting-edge AI directly into the product. You’ll design & build the scalable backend systems and intelligence layers that enables the autonomous running of thousands of businesses. This is an engineering role at its best - building what’s never existed before hands-on within a small & exceptionally talented group, that operates with a sense of urgency and passion for building innovative products.What you’ll doBuild new step-changing product features end-to-end, shipping fast and often.Integrate cutting-edge AI directly into the product - voice, reasoning, context management, data extraction - turning static workflows into living intelligence.Design, build & own APIs that scale internally & externally to connect products, integrations, and intelligence systems together.Architect robust data flows & pipelines that fuel agent context & decision making.Develop backend infrastructure and intelligent automation for knowledge crawling, extraction and enrichment.Help shape and contribute towards our DevOps practices (CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability).RequirementsDeep full-stack Javascript expertise or deep backend Python expertise (we have an open role for both).High-agency - you own projects end-to-end and make decisions with imperfect information.Strong sense of ownership - you care deeply about your work and what we deliver to customers.Track record shipping - you know what it takes to rapidly ship production ready features.AI fluency - you know how to use AI tools to make yourself ridiculously efficient.Excellence everywhere - everything you apply yourself to is done to the highest of quality with top results.
