QHSE ManagerChester£45,000 - £52,000 + benefits (dependent on experience)Aspion Search is partnering with a long-established engineering manufacturer to hire a hands-on QHSE Manager. The business operates across multiple UK sites and is known for excellent staff retention and strong technical capability. The QHSE Manager will lead Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards across its UK sites.The Business:Market leader with a strong engineering heritage and supportive culture.Growth & progression: the company is in a major growth phase, with clear routes into senior technical or leadership roles.Newly created, high-impact role where you can shape site-wide improvements.Long-standing business with a strong product range and continued investment.Multi-site exposure and close collaboration with senior leadership.Excellent long-term stability and opportunities for progression.The Role of the QHSE Manager:The QHSE Manager will lead the QHSE strategy, acting as the driving force behind compliance, operational excellence, and cultural change.This is a newly created role where you will have real freedom to modernise systems, develop standards, build engagement, and shape long-term performance. If you enjoy stepping into a role where you can transform processes, educate teams, and bring sites together under one consistent approach, this position offers exactly that.Responsibilities of the QHSE Manager:Lead the QHSE strategy across multiple UK sites, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal standards.Develop, implement and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Plan and conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits and certifications.Own incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.Drive continuous improvement in safety culture, quality performance and environmental standards.Develop and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and associated documentation.Work closely with Operations and Engineering to improve product quality and process reliability.Deliver engaging QHSE training and toolbox talks across all levels of the business.Support the rollout of 5S and lean workplace organisation initiatives.Build strong relationships with site QHSE champions and ensure consistent standards across all locations.About the QHSE Manager:Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering / Manufacturing (or similar)NEBOSH General CertificateLead Auditor ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 / 45001)At least 3 year’s QHSE experience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentStrong understanding of production processes, machinery safety & quality systemsExperience working across multi-site operationsBackground in “hands-on” environmentsSAP experienceConfident communicator across all levels from shopfloor to senior leadership.Practical, hands-on approach with strong coaching and influencing ability.Enthusiastic, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Someone ambitious, capable, and looking for long-term progression within the business.Benefits of the QHSE:4% matched pension contributions.Life cover at 2× basic salary.Paid medical appointment attendance & annual screeningsService recognition from Year 1.37 hours/week with early finish Fridays.25 days’ holiday + public holidays.Find out more about our available opportunities or how I can help you further your career – contact me today.Applications must have the right to work in the UK.Please contact Adele Lewis or click Apply Now.Call: 0151 209 2050 or 07537 163611Email:
