PROCESS ENGINEER – Aircraft ModificationsJoin the Manufacturing Engineering function supporting the Single Aisle aircraft programmeInitial contract until November 2026£37 per hour via Umbrella | 35-hour working weekOn-site role in BroughtonBPSS clearance required ABOUT THE CLIENTOur client is a major global aerospace manufacturer leading the development and production of world-class commercial aircraft. Their Broughton site is a key centre of excellence for Single Aisle aircraft build and industrialisation. As part of continued programme growth, they are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support modification industrialisation and production readiness.THE PROCESS ENGINEER ROLEAs a Process Engineer, you will support the industrialisation of major and minor aircraft modifications, ensuring smooth integration into production. Working across both mechanical and electrical systems, you will translate design intent into production-ready technical documentation and deliver robust work preparation to the shopfloor. You will collaborate with design, operations, supply chain and FAL teams to optimise manufacturing processes and support on-site issue resolution.Key Responsibilities:Produce and control Manufacturing Engineering data, technical instructions and documentationTranslate design intent to routings, BOMs, SOIs and STV calculations for productionImplement best-practice tools, processes and manufacturing methodsEnsure compliance with procedural, regulatory and airworthiness requirementsProject manage manufacturing and assembly process improvementsAnalyse and optimise production capacity, recommending design or process changesProvide hands-on support to operations, supply chain and final assembly for mech/elec systemsPROCESS ENGINEER – ESSENTIAL SKILLSStrong knowledge of aircraft production and associated ME methodsAbility to work from first principles across manufacturing disciplinesExperience with SAP or similar business management toolsWorking knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design and BIS toolsUnderstanding of interactions across ME, Design, Operations and Supply ChainKnowledge of lean principlesEffective verbal & written communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and confident in supporting cross-functional teamsTO BE CONSIDEREDPlease apply through this advert or email .
