We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team, working to decarbonise buildings and construction, currently responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions.You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and understanding customer needs to help them find solutions that ensure their success with our software. This is an outbound sales role, focused on engaging with both existing and potential customers to expand our market presence. In this role, you will work with AEC and manufacturing companies across the UK and Ireland.This full-time, permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based anywhere in the UK or Ireland.What you will do:Hunt and close strategic new business sales in the UK and IrelandBe part of expanding the offering of LCA and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) tools in the AEC and Manufacturing sectorsKeep up to date on developments around LCA and EPD standards, PCRs and practicesEducate prospects on the value and opportunities of LCA tools, EPD and low-carbon constructionSupport our LCA software product development where neededAttend industry events around the UK and Ireland when necessaryWhat you need:First and foremost, you MUST always demonstrate a hunter mentality in your sales approachA minimum of 12 months of experience as an SDR within a B2B SaaS sales environment, ready to move into a BDM roleAbility and motivation to maximise the potential of the assigned territoryMotivation to help others succeed and to find solutions to their obstaclesPreferably, an understanding of LCA/EPD and their importance in the construction/manufacturing industryFast learning skills and a desire to improve constantly, using what worksCustomer- and results-oriented attitude and a hands-on approachCurious, with the ability to understand a client’s perspectiveFluency in English, as it is our working languageWhat we offer:Work in a growing business that helps bring about a zero-carbon futureSubstantial freedom, with no fixed hours and remote working supportedChallenges, substantial responsibility and the chance to see the results of your work directlyCompetitive compensation and opportunity for professional developmentA dynamic, friendly, motivated and diverse team of top-notch professionalsGreat colleagues, social events and ability to contribute to market transformationMayflower is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
