We have earned our position as a leading brand within the marine sector, with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service.Role PurposeAs Regional Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and developing Gill’s existing UK regional wholesale account base across the marine and watersports sectors, while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.While previous experience selling into these markets would be advantageous, we are primarily seeking an individual with tenacity, a natural flair for sales, and a winning mindset. A genuine passion for boating and watersports, combined with the drive to succeed, are essential to joining our high-performing team.Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Manage and develop the existing retailer account base through regular in-person visits and virtual engagement.Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while building long-term customer relationships.Own and drive the full sales cycle, carry out seasonal product presentations both in our Nottingham showroom and in-store as required, ensuring a strong seasonal forward order book.Analyse sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and growth potential.Deliver store visits to drive in-season sales and carry out and regular staff training sessions across the retailer network to enhance product knowledge and support sell-out.Collaborate closely with the customer support team to ensure a consistently high standard of service.Contribute to forecasting, stock planning, and inventory strategies aligned with business growth objectives.Work in partnership with the marketing team to support brand strategy, content development, and increased market presence.Represent the Gill brand at relevant trade and consumer events.Provide market and customer feedback to support product development and identify future opportunities.Collaborate with the wider sales team across multiple territories to align objectives and share best practice.Maintain structured daily, weekly, and monthly planning and reporting to the Commercial Director.Contribute to the development and optimisation of sales tools, including digital assets, catalogues, and buyer guides.Attributes – Essential:A genuine passion for sailing, boating, and water-based activities.Tenacious, resilient, and motivated by challenge, with a winning mindset.Strong sales capability, with the ability to manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to completion.Proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic, with a high level of personal drive.Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and accountability.Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team.Highly organised, well planned, and detail oriented.Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills.Confident delivering product presentations in showrooms, client offices, and virtual environments.Strong IT literacy, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Flexible and adaptable in approach to work.Personable, articulate, and a strong ambassador for the Gill brand and values.Willing to continually challenge themselves and grow within a fast-paced, market-leading business.Attributes – Desirable:Previous sales experience within marine, outdoor, performance sportswear, or lifestyle apparel sectors.Practical sailing and/or boating experience.Operating Environment:This is a remote-based role, requiring good access and regular travel to all areas of the UK, in particular the South Coast, and occasional visits to the UK Head Office in Nottingham.Flexibility to work additional hours when required, including occasional evenings and weekends.Operate as part of a high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.Training on systems, software, and sales techniques will be provided as required.Take personal ownership and responsibility for performance and outcomes.Maintain a respectful, professional, and inclusive approach when working with colleagues and partners.Measures of SuccessAchievement of monthly and annual sales targets and agreed business objectives.Development and execution of short-, medium-, and long-term growth plans.Successful acquisition of new business across existing and emerging retail channels.Consistent customer engagement through structured call cycles and reporting.Effective delivery against fixed deadlines and commercial priorities.To submit your C.V for this role please send along with a covering letter aidan.wells@
