While this position sits at Senior level, the business is very open to candidates who may be slightly below senior grade, provided they can clearly demonstrate strong electrical capability, practical experience, and the appetite to develop further into design.This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on engineers who want to transition into electrical design, as well as experienced design engineers seeking flexibility and technical ownership.Formal qualifications are preferred but not essential. Real-world experience and technical competence are equally valued. Top 3 Things to KnowSenior level preferred, flexibility on grade for strong candidatesHybrid / flexible working available once establishedClear learning curve from hands-on electrical work into design The RoleAs part of the Electrical Team, you will:Design and develop 3-phase electrical control systemsProduce electrical schematics and technical documentationDevelop or support PLC and HMI software (Allen Bradley & IFM Systems)Write or contribute to Functional SpecificationsAct as a key technical contact for internal teams and customersSupport new product development and continuous improvement projectsAssist with factory testing, commissioning and occasional site supportEnsure compliance with safety and industry standardsThe scope and responsibility of the role will be aligned to your experience, with a clear pathway to full senior status if you're not there yet. The PersonYou don't need to tick every box.
