Their focus is simple: helping people feel heard, understood and supported.This role gives you the opportunity to use your expertise without shift work, bedside care, or the physical demands of your current role all while making a real impact.What Youll Be DoingAs a Functional Assessor, you'll:Conduct telephone, video, in-person and paper-based assessments to understand how a claimants condition impacts their daily lifeWork in a hybrid model primarily from home, with scheduled days at your nearest assessment centreProduce clear, detailed 3,0004,000-word reports to support decision making by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)Apply your clinical judgement with professionalism, empathy and impartialityYoull receive full training to help you deliver high-quality assessments and confident, evidence-based reports.Training and SupportThis role is different from traditional healthcare, which is why youll receive a structured training programme (Monday to Friday, 9am5pm).The first six months can be the steepest learning curve, so dedicated mentorship and ongoing support will be in place to help you succeed.Salary and BenefitsStarting salary: £39,500 per yearOTE up to £43,450Clear development and progression pathwaysHybrid workingImproved worklife balanceWhat You NeedTo apply, you must have:A minimum of one year post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or paramedicFull registration with NMC, HCPC or equivalent, with a valid PIN and no restrictionsStrong communication, listening and observational skillsThe ability to type at least 32 words per minuteConfident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and remote systems such as MS TeamsA compassionate, balanced and professional approachINDCAPJBRP1_UKTJ
