General Manager – Bryngarw House Full time – Evening, weekend and bank holiday work required. £43,609 – £48,461 per annum. Location: Bryngarw House. Status: Permanent. Accountable to: Director of Enterprise and Partnerships. Closing date: Wednesday 18 February 2026. Position OverviewWe are recruiting a General Manager at Bryngarw House. In this role you will lead the development and commercial performance of the venue, shape and evolve the venue’s offer, and enhance the Awen brand while delivering sustainable commercial returns. ResponsibilitiesLead the management of a multi‑functional venue and its commercial operations. Build and inspire teams to deliver functions and events. Maintain and grow the venue’s brand and guest experience. Prepare and manage budgets, including projection and monitoring. Ensure health and safety compliance, including obtaining an IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to undertake it. QualificationsDegree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience managing a multi‑functional hotel or similar hospitality venue. Proven commercial track record and budget management experience. Strong problem‑solving skills, calm under pressure, and ability to manage competing priorities.
