The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food production facility in West Wales seeking a capable and practical Project Engineer to support the delivery of site-based capital investment projects.This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for supervising installation activities, coordinating contractors, and ensuring engineering works are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with food industry standards.What Youll Be DoingYou will play a key role in managing engineering tasks during project execution phases, ensuring everything from installation through to commissioning is controlled, documented and signed off correctly.Duties will include:Managing day-to-day site activities relating to capital projectsSupervising third-party contractors and internal teamsReviewing and approving contractor risk assessment and method statements prior to commencementCoordinating works around production schedules and planned shutdownsEnsuring all technical validations and change controls are completedCarrying out risk assessments where requiredEnsuring compliance with food safety and site Health & Safety standardsCollecting verification data and completing formal handoversYoull be the person ensuring projects are delivered safely, to specification and without disruption to production operations.About YouWe are looking for someone who understands the pace and compliance demands of a regulated food manufacturing environment.You will ideally have:ONC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringA completed apprenticeship within an industrial settingAt least 5 years experience within the food industry manufacturingStrong working knowledge of Permit to Work systems and contractor managementExperience supporting capital equipment installation and commissioningThis role could suit individuals currently working as:Capital Projects Engineer, Site Project Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Manufacturing Project Engineer, Engineering Project Manager (site-based)JBRP1_UKTJ
