We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Gearbox Builder to join our clients busy transmission workshop. This is a highly skilled, hands-on role ideal for someone with in-depth knowledge of gearbox internals and a passion for mechanical precisionGearbox Builder Benefits:Location: SheffieldSalary: 40k Job Type: Full-Time, permanentWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pmCompany pensionFree on-site parkingNo weekend workGearbox Builder Responsibilities:You'll be responsible for stripping down, diagnosing faults, rebuilding, and reassembling manual and automatic transmissions to the highest standards.Disassemble manual and/or automatic gearboxes and inspect componentsDiagnose internal faults and identify worn or damaged partsClean, rebuild, and reassemble gearboxes to factory or improved standardsUse appropriate tools, torque settings, and lubricantsMaintain detailed records of each build and parts usedWork collaboratively with fitters and office staff to ensure smooth job flowMaintain a clean, organised, and safe work environmentGearbox Builder Criteria:Proven experience building manual and/or automatic gearboxes - essentialExcellent mechanical knowledge and attention to detailAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and service manualsStrong problem-solving skills and diagnostic abilityAbility to work independently and take responsibility for quality of workMust own your own toolsFull UK Driving Licence preferredTPBN1_UKTJ
