Location: SheffieldSalary:£17.20/hourJob Type: Full-Time PermanentWe are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team within a well-established residential/nursing care home setting.This is an excellent opportunity for a confident chef with strong leadership skills who is committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while creating a positive dining experience for residents.About the RoleAs Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen department, ensuring meals are prepared, cooked, and presented to a high standard. You will play a key role in supporting residents health and wellbeing through carefully planned, balanced menus that meet individual dietary and nutritional needs.You will also oversee kitchen operations, compliance, food safety, staffing, and stock control.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the kitchen team, including Chefs, Hosts, and Kitchen AssistantsPlan, prepare, and serve fresh meals for breakfast, lunch, and supperCater for specialist dietary requirements and allergensProduce weekly staff rotas and ensure full shift coverageManage stock control and place orders with approved suppliersComplete daily, weekly, and monthly compliance checksMaintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanlinessEnsure all Health & Safety, COSHH, and food safety regulations are followedSupport inspections and work closely with the Home ManagerFreshly bake cakes and pastries as requiredProvide catering for private dining when neededAbout YouWe are looking for someone who:Has previous experience in a senior catering role (care home experience desirable)Has strong leadership and people management skillsHolds Food Hygiene and Health & Safety knowledge (COSHH awareness essential)Has experience implementing health & safety proceduresUnderstands elderly care, dementia, and person-centred supportIs organised, reliable, and able to work independentlyHas a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older peopleWhat We OfferA supportive working environmentThe opportunity to lead your own departmentOngoing training and developmentA rewarding role where your work makes a real difference every dayIf you are a dedicated Chef Manager who takes pride in both food quality and team leadership, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
