General Manager Our Client based in Newbury, who have been established for over 25 years are a leader within their industry and are looking for a General Manager on a permanent full time basis due to continuous business growth.Salary & Benefits£35,000 - £40,000 DOEMonday to Friday - 7am to 5pmFree parkingPension schemeDuties & ResponsibilitiesOversee the full site installation process and coordinate closely with suppliersManage the installation rollout to ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframesSupervise day‑to‑day operations across the office, yard, and warehouseHandle bookings, oversee the unloading of transformers and lorries, record incoming transformers, and complete asset management for each unitTake oil samples and manage associated data, records, and reporting systemsOversee the safe draining of oil from transformersCollect and record data from transformer plates and complete EOS reports, including interpreting analytical resultsManage large oil storage tanks, liaising with subcontractors, arranging transport, coordinating tanker emptying, and preparing all required documentationOversee maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs or replacements are carried outEnsure all assets meet required health, safety, and environmental compliance standardsMaintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspectionsAnalyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementProduce clear, detailed reports for senior management, stakeholders, and clientsSkills & RequirementsAble to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accurate, high‑quality paperwork and dataStrong background in compliance processes and auditing proceduresHighly attentive to detail, with a methodical and precise approachExcellent organisational and analytical abilitiesStrong communication and people‑management skillsWorking knowledge of permit and planning applications for new depot infrastructure (desirable)Forklift driving – training will be provided.If you are interested, please apply or call (phone number removed) to join our client's team today.Job InfoJob Title: General ManagerCompany: Gi GroupLocation: Southampton, HampshirePosted: Feb 18th 2026Closes: Mar 21st 2026Sector: Manufacturing & SurveyingContract: PermanentHours: Full Time#J-18808-Ljbffr
