Youll deliver tuition in pupils homes, working them through their curriculum at a pace and style that fits them. Youll be supporting children of any age, so you must be confident with curriculum delivery across different stages, and flexible enough to adapt quickly when youre working outside a traditional classroom structure. You will work with pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, including some who may present with challenging behavior's. You must be comfortable, confident, and emotionally steady in that environment. What the role entails day to day Travel to pupils homes and deliver 1:1 sessions Plan and teach curriculum-based learning that matches the pupils age, ability and goals Adapt the curriculum when needed to make learning accessible and achievable Build consistent routines that support engagement and progress Use calm, confident behavior support strategies where needed Communicate professionally with parents, including handling difficult conversations when required Track progress and adjust approaches to keep the pupil moving forward Build a meaningful, trusting relationship that helps the child re-engage with education The type of person we wan t This role needs someone who can be warm and human, but also confident and unshakeable.
