Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on HGVs and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.- Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on HGVs, trailers, and related equipment.- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.- Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, and brake systems.- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical issues.- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Requirements:- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.- Strong knowledge of HGV engines, transmissions, and brake systems.- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Certification from a recognized automotive or technical institute is preferred.- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
