Job Description

We are looking for a qualified, professional and competent Mobile Van Technician to join our team at our Mercedes-Benz Van dealership located in Knowsley! Our Mobile Technicians are a critical part of the business and are responsible for carrying out onsite servicing and repairs at customer sites using comprehensive system specialist knowledge and a high diagnostic authority. Package Details: 17.40 per hour Plus enhancement payment of up to 300 per month based upon your qualification level Based onsite in Knowsley and field-based at customer sites 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00 16:30 23 days holiday each year, plus bank holidays Permanent Bonus scheme Benefits: Additional leave Bereavement leave Charity matching scheme Company events Company pension Cycle to work scheme Discounted car scheme Discounted gym membership Discounted cinema tickets Enhanced maternity pay Enhanced paternity pay Enhanced neonatal pay First Day of School paid leave Free eye tests Free flu jabs Free fruit Free menstrual products Free on-site parking Health Care Plan Life assurance Long service awards Paid volunteer time Pregnancy and Baby Loss paid leave Referral programme Sick pay Accountabilities: Attending customer sites to service and repair vehicles on customer premises Ensuring all defects reported by the customer are actioned Conducting fleet checks on customers vehicles whilst managing your time effectively around customer deadlines and schedules Carrying out independently extensive orders for repair and re-establishing the serviceability of the customers vehicle Ensuring vehicles are safe to use Speaking with customers and examining vehicles to diagnose problems with specialist diagnostic equipment If possible, fixing the fault on-site and if necessary, making suitable arrangements if it isnt possible to fix the problem on-site for the vehicle to be taken to and repaired in the workshop Completing servicing in line with manufacturers guidelines Maintaining detailed and accurate records as required for each job carried out Skills and Competencies Required: Previous experience in a similar Technician role Full NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) - certified Technician/Technical Specialist in an automotive service field (essential) Full UK driving licence (essential) Attention to detail ensuring repairs are conducted to a high standard and meet legal requirements Time management efficiently completing scheduled work and meeting agreed SLAs Teamwork contributes positively to the team in order to achieve common business objectives Communication ability to communicate with colleagues and customers clearly and professionally on work carried out or any potential issues or delays Customer orientation ability to focus on the needs of the customer and works to deliver customer satisfaction Adaptable ability to react to changing priorities in a busy and demanding role Self-sufficiency ability to work independently when required, holding oneself accountable for standard of work completed Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: 17.40 per hour Expected hours: 45 per week Application question(s): Do you have your Level 3 qualification certificates to bring to interview should you be invited to attend?
