Workshop SupervisorBurton upon Trent£45,000 – £52,000 + Overtime + Career ProgressionNeos Engineering are partnered with a well-established and highly respected construction plant company that continues to invest heavily in its people, fleet and infrastructure. Due to growth and internal development, they are now seeking a Workshop Supervisor to take ownership of operations at their Burton upon Trent site.The RoleThis is a workshop leadership role that is primarily office-based, focused on coordination, planning and performance — but it requires strong engineering knowledge to be effective. You will not be expected to be on the tools full-time; however, your technical background will be critical in supporting engineers, making decisions, prioritising jobs and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.You will act as the operational heartbeat of the workshop — keeping jobs moving, maintaining standards and driving efficiency.Key responsibilities include:Planning and allocating daily workloads across the engineering teamProviding technical guidance and support to engineers when requiredOverseeing servicing, maintenance and major repairs on construction plant equipmentMonitoring job progress, turnaround times and workshop performanceEnsuring all work meets manufacturer and company standardsManaging documentation, job cards and internal systemsMaintaining strict Health & Safety complianceLiaising with parts, suppliers and senior management to prevent delays and improve efficiencySupporting training, development and performance management of engineersThe CandidateThis role suits a technically strong engineer who enjoys leadership, structure and organisation — or an existing Supervisor who understands the balance between office coordination and workshop credibility.
