This role covers full project lifecycle from tendering through to construction and handover.Responsibilities:Lead civil and structural design, review drawings, calculations, and documentationSupervise civil designers, resolve site queries, remedial works, and snagsSupport CDM and Temporary Works dutiesEnsure compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standardsEvaluate subcontractors and contribute to tender documentationLiaise with UK Transmission System Operators and major utilitiesDevelop project requirements, budgets, and delivery plansMonitor costs, report on progress, and implement cost-effective solutionsSupport contract negotiations, manage change orders, and resolve disputesRequirements:Extensive experience on large-scale infrastructure or substation projectsStrong civil/structural design capability and project cost controlKnowledge of UK Transmission System Operators and utility environmentsBachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related xjdpvnf fieldMember of a recognized professional institution; Chartered Engineer desirablePersonal qualities:Resilient, proactive, and self-disciplinedStrong leadership, assertive but a good listenerCommercially aware and solutions-focusedOffer:Hybrid workingInvolvement in high-value EPC projectsOpportunity to shape engineering standards and project delivery
