Title: Senior Engineer - Co-Founder Location: Remote (UK / EU only)Salary: Equity only (to start) - with vesting period. Commercial relationships to be discussed during interview period. Platform: AI-Native Talent Intelligence PlatformStage: Early product (working demo MVP) with live AWS infrastructure and AI workflows in placeThe RoleWe are recruiting for our sister business 'hdhnt', this is an AI-native Talent Acquisition platform designed around deep candidate analysis, structured evaluation, and intelligent matching. Our mission is to build a tool which allows hiring companies to successfully source candidates directly, and alleviate the need for external recruitment agencies.The technical foundations already exist: cloud infrastructure, LLM pipelines, scoring logic, and multi-tenant architecture, these have been built through use of contractors to date. We are looking for a hands-on Technical Co-Founder / CTO to take full ownership of the platform’s technical direction, architecture, and execution as we scale from early product to category-defining system.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end technical architecture across backend, AI systems, data, and infrastructureLead development of AI-driven scoring, ranking, and decision systemsDesign and evolve advanced search and retrieval systems beyond keyword matchingBuild and scale API-first, multi-tenant backend servicesLead development of video, voice, and interview analysis tooling within the platformDrive the transition from third-party LLM usage toward custom and fine-tuned modelsEnsure platform security, data protection, and GDPR-aligned system designEstablish engineering standards, CI/CD workflows, and operational best practicesAct as technical counterpart to product, commercial, and investor conversationsManage technical / dev responsibility for any contractor arrangements in place.Technical RequirementsBackend & APIsStrong experience designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs for production SaaS platformsAdvanced proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js (TypeScript / NestJS)Deep understanding of multi-tenant system design, permissions, and role-based workflowsEvent-driven architectures using webhooks, queues, and async processingAI, Search & Data SystemsHands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI-compatible or equivalent)Design and implementation of scoring, ranking, and weighted evaluation systemsExperience with vector search, embeddings, and semantic retrievalPractical use of RAG architectures, prompt pipelines, and structured outputsStrong understanding of model evaluation, explainability, and output validationModel DevelopmentExperience with fine-tuning or training models (open-source or proprietary)Understanding of model lifecycle management, data pipelines, and inference optimisationFamiliarity with moving from API-based LLMs to self-hosted or private modelsVideo, Voice & Media ProcessingExperience working with video, audio, or real-time communication systemsFamiliarity with speech-to-text, audio processing, or conversational AI pipelinesComfort designing systems that support AI analysis of recorded interactionsCloud & InfrastructureStrong experience with AWS-based SaaS platforms, including:ECS FargateApplication Load BalancersIAM, KMS, Secrets ManagerCloudWatch logging and alertingInfrastructure-as-Code using TerraformSecure, scalable deployment and environment managementCI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release workflowsExperience & ProfileSenior-level engineer with end-to-end ownership experienceHands on execution responsibility Proven track record building or scaling production SaaS platformsComfortable operating across architecture, hands-on coding, and strategic decisionsStrong product intuition with an ability to translate abstract requirements into systemsExperience working in early-stage or high-ownership environmentsClear communicator capable of partnering closely with a non-technical founderNice to HavePrior experience as a founder, early CTO, or lead architectBackground in search, recommendation systems, or decision enginesExperience with regulated or sensitive data environmentsFamiliarity with recruitment, HR tech, or workflow-driven SaaS platformsExperience building internal admin tools and operational dashboardsThere will be a multi-stage interview process including theoretical case study and technical assessment.
