Please note, sponsorship is not available for this role.The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing electrical quality assurance and commissioning activities, ensuring all installations are compliant with design specifications, industry standards, and project requirements, and fully tested prior to grid connection and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor the quality of electrical installation works on siteCoordinate electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activitiesReview ITPs, method statements, and risk assessmentsWitness and sign off key testing activities including cable testing, inverter commissioning, transformer energisation, and protection testingIdentify and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implementedSupport the preparation of commissioning dossiers and handover documentationEnsure systems are fully compliant and ready for grid connectionEnforce health, safety, and environmental standards during testing and energisation phasesFlexibility to work extended hours during critical commissioning and energisation periods is required.RequirementsProven experience in electrical supervision, QA/QC, or commissioning rolesBackground in utility-scale solar, substations, or large infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of MV/LV systems, inverters, transformers, and protection systemsAbility to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentationRelevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)ECS/CSCS card (SMSTS/SSSTS desirable)Full UK driving licenceRight to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
