Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) to join our engineering team within a fast‐paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting site performance and continuous improvement.Location: ChippenhamShift Pattern: 12-hour 3 day (Continental Rotation)Contract: PermanentKey responsibilities include:Carrying out reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability, efficiency, and performanceResponding to internal customer priorities to meet production targets and minimise operational downtimeEnsuring all work is completed in line with company safe working practices, including risk assessments and HSE regulationsUnderstanding and working to company performance standards at all timesAccurately recording all maintenance activity within Agility CMMSActively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new working practicesSupporting the site Project Team as requiredAttending all necessary internal and external training courses in line with business needsThe PersonTo be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and technically capable engineer with strong fault‐finding skills and experience in a manufacturing setting.Essential and desirable criteria include:Time‐served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (minimum Level 3)Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levelsExperience of preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipmentProven ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environmentWell,‐developed analytical, fault‐finding, and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic (fluid power) systemsKnowledge of electromechanical systems, with an understanding of control systems, PLCs, and automation being advantageousAbility to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and schematicsGood working knowledge of Health & Safety regulationsOn offerSalary on offer £54,000 - £58,000 DOEFree parking on-siteDiscounted or free foodCompany pensionOngoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive team environment with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvementOpportunity to work with modern manufacturing technologies and equipment
