Bid ManagerPermanent | Hybrid**(Open to experience and employment background)**Are you an experienced Bid Manager OR looking to start a career in Bids and ready to lead winning proposals that support innovation and capability for naval customers worldwide?About the roleWe are looking for a Bid Manager to join our Submarines Division, supporting an increasing portfolio of strategic bid opportunities. Whether your expierenced in bids or looking to transition careers from a different background The team leads capture and proposal activities that secure complex defence and maritime programmes. This role plays a vital part in enabling business growth by delivering compliant, competitive and winning bids aligned to company strategy.What you'll be doingThis role exists to ensure high-quality, competitive bids are delivered on time and within budget, giving the business the best possible chance of success. Working closely with sales, engineering, commercial and project teams, you will coordinate bid activity across the organisation and act as the focal point for proposal delivery.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Managing end-to-end bid and proposal activitiesDeveloping capture plans and win strategies for key opportunitiesCoordinating cross-functional bid teams and managing schedules and deliverablesSupporting client engagement and pre-bid activitiesLeading storyboarding, proposal structure and content developmentConducting competitor and market analysis to strengthen proposalsIdentifying and managing commercial and contractual risksManaging bid reviews, approvals and governance processesEnsuring compliant and timely submission of proposalsSupporting negotiations and transition into project delivery following successful bidsThe role reports to the Head of Sales - Submarines Division and works with teams across engineering, commercial and programme functions.What you'll bringWe are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:Open to all experience levels, whether this would be your first bid role or whether your expierenced in delivering successful bids or proposals within complex technical or commercial environments.Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational and stakeholder coordination skills and articulateGood commercial awareness and risk management capabilityExperience working with structured bid or capture processesProficiency using Microsoft Office and collaboration toolsAbility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)Experience within defence, maritime or industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential.Why TKMS ATLAS UK?With a reputation for providing innovative underwater systems for the Royal Navy and export customers, TKMS ATLAS UK operates from our Headquarters on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
