Ecommerce Trading Manager£50,000 - £60,0000ManchesterA fast-growing consumer retail business is seeking an experienced Online Trading Manager to take ownership of its ecommerce and marketplace performance across the UK.This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for driving revenue, margin, and customer growth across a DTC website and major third-party marketplaces, including Amazon and emerging social commerce platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end online trading strategy across DTC and marketplace channelsOwn the trading calendar, performance optimisation and commercial executionShape a best-in-class digital customer experience while delivering ambitious growth targetsOwn and deliver the online trading strategy across all digital channelsBuild and manage annual and quarterly trading calendarsDrive improvements in conversion rate, AOV, customer acquisition and lifetime valueAnalyse trading performance and translate insight into actionOwn forecasting, reporting and performance reviewsManage pricing, promotions and merchandising strategiesCollaborate with supply chain teams to optimise stock availabilityLead performance across major marketplaces including Amazon and emerging platformsOptimise product listings, SEO and content to drive conversionOwn site merchandising, homepage and category performanceImprove customer journeys through CRO testing and UX optimisationIdeal Candidate:3–5+ years experience in ecommerce trading or online retailProven commercial growth track record in DTC or multi-channel environmentsStrong analytical skills with GA4 and marketplace dashboardsHands-on experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or MagentoStrong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skillsConsumer goods, lifestyle, sports or fitness retail backgroundExperience with emerging marketplaces or social commerceKnowledge of SEO, CRO and A/B testing
