London based technology innovator and several partners are working in stealth mode to advance the design of a disruptive, highly energy efficient aircraft for long-distance air travel.By joining this project, you will become part of a world-class team of engineers committed to achieve the biggest leap in aviation since the introduction of the jet engine.Task description• Create a parametric CAD model of a new aircraft based on results from the conceptual design team(modelling of the outer mold line, modelling of the interior structure, system integration)• Provide geometry and design variations to the conceptual design team• Set up a digital repository for the aircraft, establish version control, set up a framework for multidisciplinary design optimisationQualifications• Highly skilled industrial designer, strong experienced with PLM software (Siemens NX, Dassault 3DExperience)• Exceptional skills in modelling aerodynamic surfaces• Experience with model-based systems engineering• Good programming skills (Python, Matlab, etc.)• Experience in aircraft design (aerodynamics, structures, flight dynamics and control)• Experience in structural design• Preferred, but not mandatory:o 3+ years of professional experience with aircraft technology and designo Hands on experience (wind tunnel testing, scaled flight testing)o Additional software experience: CFD tools (Ansys, VLM methods), FE tools (Nastran, Patran)
