Telemedicine Doctor *must have worked as a GP to be eligible for the role*About this roleWe are looking for a General Medical Council (GMC) registered Doctor based in the United Kingdom to join our established UK Digital Health service. This is an exciting role for a Doctor to be involved in our successful UK-focused prescribing service, primarily supporting our weight management programme.You will be responsible for remotely evaluating and assessing patient consultations using audio-visual methods (AVCs) to determine eligibility for treatment and issue prescriptions safely and legally when all requirements have been met.This role will be part of a dynamic, UK-based team specialising in prescribing GLP-1 weight loss medications to patients across the UK.Location: Fully Remote / *Your own laptop is required*Job Type: TemporaryDuration of booking: Expected to be ongoingProposed start date: ASAPPay Rates: Up to £80 per hour Umbrella or LtdHours / Working Days: 3 session a week – Session between either 6am-11am or 4pm -10pmInsurance: Indemnity insurance is requiredRole RequirementsConduct audio-visual consultations (AVCs) with patients to review their medical history, assess their suitability for treatment, and establish a clear clinical need.Use our asynchronous online platform to evaluate repeat patient consultations and determine whether patients should continue to be prescribed treatment.Prescribe treatment in accordance with the clinical protocols set by the company and strictly adhere to GMC guidelines and UK regulations.Request further information from patients where needed to safely prescribe, and complete accurate, concise clinical notes on patient records.Complete own work efficiently and in accordance with the designated rota, supporting the team to meet customer demand.Engage in regular team meetings and mandatory training sessions specific to UK practice.Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) and keep up to date with prescribing requirements to ensure clinical competency and Independent Prescriber rights.Work closely with our Customer Support team to provide patient support via email, phone call, or video consultation.If needed, provide professional correspondence to other health care professionals (e.g., GPs) in the UK.PERSON SPECIFICATIONKnowledge & Experience, Key Competencies & Qualifications relevant to the RoleBased in the United Kingdom with the right to work.Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a License to practice.A minimum of two years post-registration clinical experience is desirable.Experience managing patients with obesity and/or type 2 diabetes; experience with GLP-1s and weight management pathways is a significant advantage.Proven experience working in a digital health or telemedicine environment, specifically conducting Audio-Visual Consultations (AVCs).Experience prescribing according to established clinical pathways/protocols.Experience using Customer Service tools such as Zendesk is beneficial.Fluent in written and spoken English.Computer literate with a secure home working environment.Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
