Quality Engineer – LisburnVickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Quality Engineer for their site in Lisburn. This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically advanced production environment where quality, innovation and continuous improvement are central to business success.The RoleAs Quality Engineer, you will lead quality-related activities across production value streams, ensuring customer requirements are embedded and consistently delivered. This is a hands-on, technical role focused on driving continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to enhance product and process performance, reduce cost of poor quality and support operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 9001 and industry standards)Lead investigations into production non-conformances, implementing robust corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of quality issues and resolutionsOversee calibration and maintenance of monitoring and measuring equipmentCollaborate cross-functionally to improve products and processesDrive quality performance metrics and continuous improvement initiativesSupport audits, customer visits and factory acceptance testingEnsure effective implementation of product and process changes, including new product introductionIdentify and reduce cost of poor quality across operationsWhat You Will NeedDegree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)Proven experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role within manufacturingStrong problem-solving capability using structured methodologies such as 8D, A3 or KaizenExperience working in a fast-paced, team-based environmentExcellent time management and prioritisation skillsStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication skillsDesirableExperience managing supplier non-conformancesInternal auditing experience within Quality Management SystemsLean manufacturing and continuous improvement experienceSix Sigma Green Belt (or working towards)Demonstrated ability to influence and promote a strong quality cultureThis role offers the opportunity to work within a forward-thinking organisation that values technical expertise, collaboration and continuous improvement.To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Ruairi McCann, Recruitment Manager at Vickerstock 02890 313720Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
