Commercial OfficerKidderminster | Hybrid (up to 1 day per week)Defence / Security / Advanced Manufacturing£30,000 - £43,173 + excellent bens.An established and highly respected defence engineering organisation is seeking a Commercial Officer to support the development, negotiation and management of bids and customer contracts across complex, regulated programmes.This is a key role within the Sales & Business Development function, offering exposure to high-value contracts, senior stakeholders and international customers.The Role - Commercial OfficerYou will be responsible for managing the commercial lifecycle from bid generation through to contract acceptance, ensuring robust governance, risk management and compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include: Commercial OfficerCreating and managing bids and commercial contracts in line with company governanceSupporting and leading negotiations on terms, conditions and contracting arrangementsWorking closely with internal stakeholders across sales, projects, procurement and legalEnsuring compliance with UK and international trading regulationsSupporting customers through proposals, milestones, payment plans and risk managementMaintaining and updating standard terms, conditions and commercial frameworksContributing to long-term business planning activitiesAbout You - Commercial OfficerDegree-qualified in Business, Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years' experience in a commercial, contracts or bid environmentStrong understanding of contract governance, risk and complianceExperience within defence, manufacturing, automotive or highly regulated engineering environments preferredWorking knowledge of MoD contracting is highly desirableConfident communicator, detail-driven and comfortable engaging at all levelsOrganised, proactive and able to manage multiple prioritiesWhy Apply?
