All products are engineered and assembled in the UK, with a strong emphasis on precision, reliability and technical excellence.This is an opportunity to join a well-established engineering team working on technically challenging products where detail, accuracy and manufacturability matter.The RoleYou will design, develop and support mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to production, working closely with manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.The role is hands-on and product-focused, offering exposure across the full development lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:3D design of components and assemblies using SolidWorksCreation of detailed manufacturing drawings (GD&T compliant)Supporting new product introduction (NPI) from concept, prototyping and testing through to productionApplying DFM/DFA principles to optimise designsCreating and maintaining engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications)Supporting production with issue resolution and continuous improvement initiativesWorking with suppliers to source components and resolve technical issuesWhat We're Looking ForDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)3+ years' experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environmentStrong SolidWorks capability (parts, assemblies, drawings)Experience creating GD&T-compliant drawingsUnderstanding of machining, sheet metal, moulding and assembly processesExperience supporting production and working cross-functionallyExposure to NPI and prototypingFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systemsExperience in precision engineering, instrumentation, metrology, opto-mechanical or high-accuracy systems would be advantageous.
