Data Scientist – Authentication & Identity (Consumer Tech)Contract: 12 months with potential extension Location: Remote (UK) Working hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pmAbout the RoleWe are hiring a Data Scientist to join a high-impact Authentication Services team within a global consumer technology organization operating at massive scale.This role sits at the heart of mobile identity and account access, supporting products used by millions of people worldwide.You will work on modernizing authentication and login experiences across multiple consumer applications, helping drive growth through high-quality user experience, experimentation, and data-driven decision making.This is a collaborative role, working closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment.What You’ll Be DoingConduct experiment and A/B test analysis to measure the impact of authentication methodsPerform root cause analysis on drop-offs and issues within authentication funnelsDeliver funnel analysis across registration, login, and account recovery flowsLead opportunity sizing to identify areas for optimization and expansionBuild and maintain dashboards and reporting to track performance of authentication leversOwn analytics for a defined set of features and support delivery against the product roadmapRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong SQL skills (non-negotiable)Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation platformsExperience analyzing large-scale datasets and complex consumer funnelsAbility to clearly communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholdersProven background in growth or product analyticsPython or R experience preferredExperience level: 4–7 yearsBackground: Consumer tech / consumer apps strongly preferredWhat Makes This Role CompellingWork across multiple consumer apps within a single ecosystemSolve real-world problems at global scaleHigh visibility work influencing products used by millions of usersOpportunity to shape critical identity and authentication experiences
