As a Test Services Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and testing technical samples, operating specialist test equipment and rigs, and accurately reporting results in line with relevant procedures and specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, assemble and record test samples, including mechanical, cable and fibre optic componentsSet up and operate test equipment and rigsInstall, instrument, calibrate and monitor samples during testingPerform testing activities using appropriate procedures, instrumentation and data acquisition systemsPrepare and terminate qualification samples for testingAccurately document and report test findings in line with specificationsSupport the development of bespoke testing apparatus for evolving requirementsMaintain excellent housekeeping standards and participate in 5S activitiesPromote and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policiesWork collaboratively within the team to achieve departmental objectivesTrain colleagues in new technologies, skills and procedures where requiredSupport general departmental efficiency and continuous improvementEssential:Mechanical and electrical backgroundONC (or equivalent) in a relevant disciplineGeneral xjdpvnf engineering experienceDesirable:Hydraulic and/or electrical testing experienceExperience using computerised systems, including data manipulation and graphing in Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of data acquisition systems and electronic testing equipment such as data loggers, sensors and transducersBenefits:Annual BonusExcellent ProgressionPermanent RolePrivate Healthcare
