Company DescriptionWe are a leading private dermatology clinic specialising in minor procedures and medical dermatology, working with top consultants and entering a phase of measured expansion.We are seeking a Clinical Governance & CQC Lead to take operational ownership of compliance, standards, and quality across the clinic. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who understands CQC expectations, enjoys coaching teams, and takes pride in running an excellent service.This is not a Registered Manager position. You will lead CQC and governance operationally, working closely with the Director and senior clinicians.The RoleYou will be the clinic's day-to-day CQC and governance lead, ensuring systems are robust, staff are compliant, and standards are consistently upheld.You will be visible, approachable, and confident able to coach staff, challenge poor practice, and maintain a culture of accountability and excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ownership of CQC compliance and readinessPreparing the clinic for inspections and auditsMaintaining policies, SOPs, and governance systemsCoaching and overseeing staff to ensure compliance in daily practiceActing as the point of escalation for governance and quality issuesSupporting patient experience, complaints handling, and service recoveryDriving high standards that lead to positive patient reviewsWorking with leadership on service improvements and new initiativesAbout YouBackground in regulated private healthcare (e.g. nursing, pharmacy, dental practice management, clinic operations)Hands-on experience leading or heavily involved in CQC complianceConfident overseeing and coaching multidisciplinary teamsComfortable holding people accountable to standardsPersonable, professional, and patient-focusedOrganised, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervisionPrivate-sector experience is strongly preferred.This Role May Not Be Right for You If...You are looking for a strictly 9–5 office type roleYou prefer advisory or paperwork-only compliance positionsYou are uncomfortable coaching staff or enforcing standardsThis role suits someone who wants real ownership, influence, and long-term involvement in a growing private clinic.To apply: Please send your CV or expression of interest to
