Job Description

An established power generation business, part of a wider national group, is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to oversee three busy regional depots in Bristol, South London, and Cornwall.This role would suit either an experienced Operations Manager seeking a fresh challenge across multiple sites, or a strong Operations or Service Coordinator ready to take the next step into a broader leadership position. The successful candidate will be located within commutable distance from Bristol and be happy to travel to Cornwall and West Sussex as needed.Reporting into the Directors, you will take responsibility for day-to-day operational performance across three busy depots including the HQ, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. The position involves regular travel between locations and close collaboration with depot managers, engineers, and support teams.Key ResponsibilitiesFull operational oversight of three regional depotsLeading, mentoring, and supporting depot managers and operational teamsEnsuring delivery of services to agreed safety, quality, and performance standardsManaging scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocationDriving health and safety compliance and continuous improvementOverseeing subcontractor performance and supplier relationshipsMonitoring KPIs, budgets, and overall operational performanceIdentifying efficiencies and supporting continued business growthExperience & RequirementsBackground in an Operations Coordinator, Service Manager, or Operations Manager roleTechnical backround within backup, temporary, standby, or critical power generationStrong technical grounding with hands-on experience maintaining diesel generatorsProven leadership capability across teams or multiple sitesSolid understanding of health and safety and operational best practiceStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel regularly between depotsFull UK driving licenceRight to work in the UKAbility to pass background and security checksSalary & Benefits£45,000 – £60,000 DOEUp to £500 per month car allowanceContributory pension22 days holiday, increasing to 25 after year one, plus Bank HolidaysCareer development within a growing business backed by a major groupExposure to a diverse client base and complex operational environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to step into or further develop a leadership role within a well-established and expanding power generation business.
