Every colleague has a voice here — and every step you take helps move us forward.THE OPPORTUNITYWe're looking for an experienced, hands-on Technical Manager to join our team at Lymn Bank Farm, our specialist waxed cheese and cheese bite production site.This is a senior, site-critical role within an FMCG SME environment — fast-paced, customer-focused and constantly evolving. You'll have full ownership of food safety, quality and legality, while leading and developing a technical team of up to four colleagues.This is more than a job — it's a chance to make a real impact in a business that's transforming with pace, purpose and pride.In this role, you will:Lead all aspects of food safety, quality and legality, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer codes of practice and regulatory requirementsOwn and manage all technical and quality audits, ensuring the site is audit-ready at all timesLead the Technical Team, including Quality Assurance, Control, Evening Hygiene Team and Pest Management serviceDevelop and deliver an integrated technical strategy with clear ownership, accountability and measurable outcomesBuild and embed a strong food safety and quality culture across the siteManage performance, objectives, training and development for all team members, supported by a clear training matrixMonitor technical performance through KPIs, complaints, non-conformances and trend analysisEnsure all technical visits are professionally managed, reinforcing a high-performing, best-in-class reputationProvide clear, accurate technical reporting to the Managing DirectorDrive continuous improvement across technical systems, processes and peopleYou'll be joining a workplace where collaboration and curiosity are encouraged.
