Electronic EngineerOur client is now seeking a talented and motivated Electrical/Electronics Engineer to join their team in North Yorkshire. This role offers the opportunity to work within our R&D Department, contributing to the generation of ideas, new product development, and continuous improvement of existing products.They are ideally seeking a recent graduate in electrical/electronics engineering with 2+ years industry experience.Key ResponsibilitiesWork within the R&D Department to generate ideas for developments and new productsParticipate in small projects or sub-sections of larger projectsProduce detailed design specifications and technical documentationProvide electrical design input across projectsInstruct and train junior engineering staffProvide technical support to production, logistics, and integration departmentsActively assist Sales and Marketing in preparing technical input for quotes and proposalsDeliver offsite engineering support for new builds and existing productsAssist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manualsProvide customer support and assist in training customer operating personnelEnsure compliance with company procedures and national/international regulationsWork within agreed timescales and budgetsUndertake other duties as directed by the Engineering ManagerEngineering Expertise RequiredCandidates should have experience in the design and specification of some or most of the below:Electric motorsPower distribution and protection equipmentVariable speed drives and soft startsWiring distribution systemsCommunication systems and protocolsIndustrial sensors and associated equipmentFibre optic multiplexers and ancillariesAnalogue circuit designAnalogue and digital electronic circuit designPCB design, manufacturing standards and prototypingSkills & Experience RequiredSafety conscious, with strong adherence to QHSE policies including ISO 9001 Quality Assurance systemsSound engineering knowledge with strong technical capabilityCommercial awareness and cost consciousnessTechnical drawing competenceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience using AutoCAD or DraftSightExperience with AltiumStrong problem-solving skillsClear technical writing and accurate record keepingWillingness to learn and develop new engineering skillsWhat They OfferCompetitive salary (dependent on experience)Strong benefits packageInvolvement in innovative R&D and product developmentVaried and technically challenging projectsSupportive team environmentProfessional development opportunitiesIf you are an ambitious Electrical Engineer looking to contribute to innovative engineering projects in North Yorkshire, we would welcome your application.Apply today with your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role
