Technical Manager – UK - Up to £70K + Benefits - Heat Network SectorAre you an experienced technical leader ready to take ownership of nationwide heat network operations?Our client - a growing and highly regarded organisation within the UK heat network sector - is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical delivery across HIUs, metering and billing systems nationwide.This is a field-based leadership role combining hands-on technical oversight with subcontractor management, compliance assurance, operational support and client-facing responsibility. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely and in full regulatory compliance. Flexibility for nationwide travel and occasional out-of-hours support is required.What you’ll be doing:✅ Leading site surveys, installations and commissioning of HIUs and metering systems (AMR, data loggers, gateways, routers, M-Bus networks)✅ Overseeing fault diagnosis, optimisation and warranty resolution✅ Ensuring compliance with Heat Network Regulations, CIBSE CP1, ESOS and CDM requirements✅ Managing subcontractors and maintaining high delivery standards✅ Acting as technical lead for clients, developers and managing agents✅ Supporting audits, warehouse operations, stock control and technical trainingWhat we’re looking for:✔ Strong technical knowledge of HIUs, heat networks, metering & billing systems and M-Bus networks✔ Proven fault-finding, commissioning and system optimisation capability✔ Solid project management and organisational skills✔ Confident stakeholder management and report-writing ability✔ Full UK driving licence✔ Accountable, adaptable and safety-first mindsetThis is an opportunity to step into a senior technical role within a growing, compliance-driven sector at the forefront of UK energy infrastructure.
