Using versatile testing techniques, Moorhead Richardson tailors its services to accommodate different project complexities and budgets.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Site Technician based in Hemel Hempstead. The Site Technician will be responsible for conducting surveys, inspections, and tests on construction materials and structures. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting issues, preparing detailed reports, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with clients to provide technical support. Ensuring accurate data collection and delivery of high-quality results is a key aspect of this role.Responsibilities:Assisting our engineers in performing routine testing, inspections, and surveying of structuresWorking on a range of different projectsUsing your initiative to solve challenges encountered on siteWorking in a range of locations (construction sites, offices etc.)Maintaining testing equipment and toolsTransporting materials and equipment to and from job sitesMaintaining the cleanliness and organisation of job sitesResponsible for undertaking intrusive testing and sampling works, operating field equipment, and performing physically demanding tasksInvestigations include, but are not limited to: locally breaking out concrete, extracting concrete core samples/diamond drilling, collecting dust samples, brick and mortar samples, steel samples and other possible sample types, general site laborQualificationsStrong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients and team membersProven experience in Troubleshooting and providing Technical SupportExceptional Analytical Skills to identify and resolve issues efficientlyAttention to detail and the ability to produce clear, precise reportsKnowledge of building durability practices, materials, or related technical expertise is advantageousAbility to work independently and within a team in an on-site settingA relevant qualification in engineering, surveying, or a related field is preferred
