Site Engineer | Structural SteelLocation: Nationwide (UK & Ireland)Industry: Structural Steel Fabrication & ConstructionThe OpportunityA leading structural steel fabrication and construction contractor delivering fabricated steel solutions across the UK and Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team.This role is critical in ensuring the successful handover of structural steelwork, confirming plumb, line and level compliance with contractual tolerances and issuing handover certification.You will also be involved in turnkey projects, working from greenfield stage through to full project handover, coordinating with multiple trades and delivering accurate as-built documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure steelwork is installed to correct line, level, and tolerance standardsComplete and issue handover certificationCarry out:As-built bolt surveysCast-in plate surveysAs-built steel surveysPlumb and line checksCasting of "dead" bolts (no cones)Setting out of road and drainage linesTOPO surveysProduce as-built drawings using AutoCADOperate Total Stations for surveying and setting out (Leica and/or Trimble robotic systems advantageous)Manage own workload across multiple sitesRequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience completing line and level checks for steel structuresStrong competency with Total Stations (Leica or Trimble preferred)Ability to process survey data and produce as-built drawings in AutoCADCSCS CardFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel nationwide and stay away when requiredConscientious, hardworking, and strong communicatorWhy Apply?Join a well-established structural steel contractor with nationwide projectsWork on technically demanding steel and turnkey construction schemesLong-term opportunity within a growing organisation
