LOCATION: TeessideJOB TYPE: PermanentRole OverviewTEXO Recruitment are working with a client operating within the marine and ports sector to recruit a Marine Hydraulic Engineer. The role will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems across marine vessels, port infrastructure, and dredging equipment.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of hydraulic systems operating in demanding marine environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and actuators.Perform routine and preventative maintenance on marine vessels, cranes, winches, and dredging equipment.Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new hydraulic systems in collaboration with engineering teams.Use hydraulic diagnostic tools to assess system performance and implement corrective actions.Manage hydraulic fluid systems, maintaining cleanliness standards and ensuring safe working practices.Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide reports on system condition and performance.Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma, NVQ, or Degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.Proven experience working with hydraulic systems in marine, offshore, ports, or heavy equipment environments.Strong ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.Experience with pressure testing, component overhaul, and hydraulic fault diagnostics.Competence using hydraulic tools, pumps, accumulators, and filtration systems.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in operational marine environments.Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail and reliability.To apply, please contact Hannah Thomson at TEXO Recruitment on 07768 735732 / 01224 446789 or email your CV to
