Quality ManagerLocation: Hastings, East SussexContract: Permanent | Full-time (35 hours per week, on-site)Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE + Excellent BenefitsWe are supporting a well-established UK manufacturing organisation during an exciting period of growth. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Integrated Management System (IMS), drive ESG and Net Zero initiatives, and embed a culture of Lean and continuous improvement across the business.This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards while supporting operational excellence and sustainable development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management System in line with relevant ISO and regulatory standards.Act as management representative for quality and environmental matters, liaising with regulatory bodies as required.Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and deliver sustainability strategies aligned to ESG objectives.Lead internal and external audits and maintain external accreditations (e.g. ISO standards, sustainability ratings).Drive the organisation's Net Zero roadmap, including carbon reduction plans and Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions management across multiple UK sites.Oversee quality assurance processes for raw materials and finished goods, supporting an Industry 4.0 approach.Lead Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives, embedding a culture of operational excellence.Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects through to production in collaboration with commercial and technical teams.Develop and monitor operational KPIs, and identify training needs to support effective system delivery.Candidate ProfileMinimum five years' experience in a Quality and/or Environmental Manager role within manufacturing or engineering.Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering, Quality, Environmental Management or similar.Strong experience leading internal and external audits and managing ISO-based systems (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor desirable).Proven track record delivering ESG, environmental or sustainability initiatives.Experience implementing Net Zero or carbon reduction programmes (advantageous).Demonstrable success leading Lean or Continuous Improvement projects.Experience managing and developing teams with the ability to influence at all levels.Benefits£50,000 – £60,000 DOE25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, plus your birthday offEmployer pension contributions matched up to 10%Private medical insuranceDiscretionary bonus schemeApplications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.
