Rather than delivering off-the-shelf training, we integrate closely with our clients to understand their challenges and design bespoke development solutions that align individual potential with business strategy.We work with organisations across the UK and internationally, supporting businesses to develop stronger leaders, higher-performing teams, and cultures that enable sustainable growth.Alongside our professional development programmes, our learning technology team is building innovative digital solutions that extend learning beyond the classroom, helping organisations embed behaviour change, track development, and sustain performance improvement long after training ends.The RoleWe are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Executive to help grow our client partnerships and expand our impact.You will work consultatively with organisations to understand their people and performance challenges, introducing solutions that combine development expertise with learning technology to support long-term organisational success.You will play a key role in generating new opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships, helping organisations develop their people, improve performance, and achieve meaningful growth.This is a hybrid role based around our Falmer (Brighton & Hove) office, with flexible remote working.What You'll Be DoingIdentifying and developing new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and relationship buildingEngaging senior stakeholders to understand organisational goals and development needsPresenting tailored learning and technology solutions aligned to client challengesBuilding trusted, long-term client relationships and managing key accountsPreparing proposals and contributing to solution design alongside internal teamsCollaborating with marketing, learning design, and technology teams to support growth strategiesMonitoring market trends and sharing client insights to shape future offeringsSupporting the continued expansion of our learning technology solutions within client organisationsWho You AreYou are commercially minded but people-focused, someone who enjoys building relationships and helping organisations solve real challenges through development and innovation.You will likely bring:Experience in business development, sales, or account management (training, consultancy, SaaS, or technology sectors preferred)Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all organisational levelsStrong relationship-building skills with a client-first mindsetCuriosity about organisational development, learning, and performance improvementA proactive and self-motivated approach to generating opportunitiesStrong organisational and time-management skillsA collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environmentExperience in learning & development, consultancy, or software/solution sales would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.Why Join Learning Cog?Be part of a growing organisation combining people development and technology innovationWork consultatively with clients to create meaningful organisational impactOpportunity to grow your career as the business expandsCollaborative and entrepreneurial culture where ideas are valuedHybrid working with a Brighton & Hove baseRole DetailsReporting to: Business Development Manager – Learning SolutionsSalary: £27,000 + commission bonus (OTE £40K) (Uncapped Commission Structure)Location: UK-based applicants only; hybrid working (Falmer office, Brighton & Hove, 3 days in office)Employment: Full-time30 days Holiday inclusive of Public Holidays35 hour working week with flexible working
