We work with both trade and domestic customers and pride ourselves on friendly, straightforward service and quality workmanship.Role summaryWe're looking for a Trade Counter Manager to run our trade counter day-to-day, look after trade customers, and keep the branch organized and moving. You'll be the first point of contact for walk-ins and phone enquiries, helping customers choose the right products, pricing jobs accurately, and making sure orders are processed smoothly.Key responsibilitiesManage the trade counter operation day-to-day and keep standards highServe trade and public customers in-branch, by phone, and by emailProvide product advice across carpets, vinyl, laminate, LVT, wall panels, artificial grass, and stair runnersPrepare quotes, take orders, and process payments accuratelyCoordinate stock availability, deliveries, and collectionsLiaise with suppliers and fitters/contractors to support smooth job deliveryKeep the showroom/trade counter tidy, well-presented, and well-stocked with samplesHandle customer queries and resolve issues in a calm, helpful wayMaintain accurate records (quotes, orders, invoices, customer details)Support the owner/team with day-to-day admin and branch organizationWhat we're looking forExperience preferred in a trade counter, builders' merchant, flooring, home improvement, or similar customer-facing environment.You'll ideally be:Confident dealing with trade customers and building long-term relationshipsOrganized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple jobs at onceStrong on customer service with a practical, can-do attitudeComfortable using basic systems for quoting, orders, and emailsAble to work independently and take ownership of the counterGood communicator—clear, friendly, and professionalHours and locationFull-time (Monday to Friday) (occasional Saturdays)Based at: Unit 1a Whitestone Business Park, Saltwells Road, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, TS4 2EDWhat you'll getA stable, full-time role in an established local businessSupportive team and straightforward working environmentOpportunity to take ownership of the trade counter and make the role your ownHow to applySend your CV (and a short note about your experience) to or call 07825 767545.DC Flooring NE Ltd –
