Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury's, Aldi and Co-op. What you'll be doing:Your overall role will be to verify that all raw materials (Chilled, Frozen, Ambient, Packaging etc.) are delivered within specification, are compliant with food safety, and legal guidelines.You will:Assist the Raw Materials Technologist on reviewing Specifications and assist on various projectsSample, test and monitor to verify that all Raw Materials are being supplied in a safe and compliant mannerAssist in traceability requestsComplete routine micro sampling - collect all relevant samples, with adherence to procedures and protocols, to ensure quality, safety and legality of products sampledComplete weekly, monthly and quarterly Ambient material checksLiaise with suppliers and undertake Rejections and Non-ConformancesCollate and review CofAComplete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and ready for internal and external audits.Provide cover for holidays and sickness within the teamAbility to communicate between all departmentsWhat we're looking for:Food hygiene - Level 2Health and Safety - Level 2Ideally HACCP Level 2 trainedAllergen Awareness TrainingPrevious raw material experienceExperience of chilled manufacturingMicrobiological awareness - understanding of basic of food safetyComputer literate in Microsoft Office applicationsAt Greencore we put our people at the core.
