Location: Field-based (within 1-hour radius Morecombe)Salary: £17 per hour (40 hours per week)Overtime: 1.5xWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday, flexible hoursOvernight Stays: Typically up to 4 nights per weekWeekend Work: Very rare (Paid at increased rates)Start Pay: Door-to-door (Paid from leaving home)We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer who is used to working on the road and happy to stay away during the week. The role is mechanically focused and involves working on pumps, pipework, hoses, filters, valves and fuel systems at customer sites.You will be customer-facing, problem-solving on site, and expected to take a can-do approach turning up, assessing the issue, and fixing it properly.Background is not important. Practical experience is what matters.Key Responsibilities: Carry out field-based service, maintenance and repair work at customer sitesWork on pumps, engines, hoses, filters, valves, pipework and sealsDiagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safelyIsolate equipment safely before working (including electrical isolation where required)Work inside tanks when required, following safety proceduresInstall, service and maintain mechanical systemsComplete basic service reports and paperworkBuild strong relationships with customers on siteRepresent the company professionally at all timesKeep the company van stocked (parts collection once per week, worst case twice)Skills & Experience Required: Previous field-based engineering experienceStrong mechanical backgroundExperience working with pumps, pipework and fluid systemsComfortable working on the road and staying away during the weekConfident dealing with customers face-to-faceFlexible attitude and strong work ethicProblem-solver who wants to fix things properlyBasic electrical knowledge (12V, single-phase and three-phase)Experience safely isolating electrical systemsHigher-skill engineering background (mechanical bias)Whats On Offer: £17 per hour (40 hours per week)Overtime paid at 1.5xDoor-to-door payCompany vanFuel cardHotels paid for when staying away£30 overnight food allowanceVery rare weekend work (paid at increased rates)Stable, long-term role with flexibilityClick Apply, or contact Jamie Garcia - Courtice (Orion Electrotech, Aylesbury) for more info:Ref: INDMANThank you for your application.
