HGV Class 2 Driver – AlfretonPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for development and progression within a respected and supportive business.Shifts  •  Monday to Friday  •  Start times between 05:00 – 06:00  •  Occasional night shifts may be requiredRates of Pay  •  £16.90 per hour PAYE  •  £24.90 per hour after 42 hours  •  £25.70 per hour – Weekends & Bank HolidaysBenefitsYour benefits as an HGV Class 2 Driver will include:  •  Weekly pay  •  Overtime available  •  Training and development opportunities  •  On-site free parking  •  Access to Employee Assistance Programme  •  Employee recognition and referral schemes  •  Permanent positions available for suitable candidatesDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):  •  Cage deliveries to hospital trusts, GP surgeries, and care homes (tail-lift deliveries)  •  Completing up to 3 trips per day, depending on volume  •  Collecting empty cages from each delivery point (some load shifting required en route)  •  Operating temperature-controlled vehicles  •  Following alarm procedures and printing temperature tickets (training provided)  •  Adhering to company policies, procedures, and driving regulations at all times  •  Driving modern vehicles (predominantly 21/71 plate)  •  Operating a mixture of 18-tonne, 14-tonne, and occasional 5-tonne vehiclesEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:  •  Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience  •  Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  •  No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements)  •  Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude  •  Willingness to undertake a DBS check  •  Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approachDesirable Experience  •  At least 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experienceTraining Provided  •  1-hour company assessment required  •  2-day paid induction  •  Ongoing training and shadow shifts provided during your first weekApplyIf you are an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for stable, ongoing work with excellent earning potential, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
