Electrician - Bespoke Machinery ManufacturingLocation: Northwich, Cheshire WestSalary: £38,000 - £44,000 (DOE) + overtime + travel compensationRole Type: Permanent | Full TimeOverviewOur client is a dynamic, growing and market leading engineering company who design and manufacture bespoke capital equipment to customers across the globe.The RoleReporting into the Production Manager and working within a mixed engineering team, the purpose of the role is to provide electrical skills including fault identification and analysis to facilitate repairs, improvements, inspections, adjustments, to agreed standards, on time and within budget.This role will be varied as each project is bespoke so although it will be Electrically biased, there will still be some Mechanical elements to get involved in. The company are looking for someone with an Electrical bias who wants to develop their career forwards and will provide training to facilitate this.Daily ResponsibilitiesInstallation of various cable management systems including but not limited to, Basket Tray, Galvanised Steel Trunking, Steel Cable Tray, Steel Cable Ladder RackAbility to read and follow Electrical Schematics, Cable Schedules, and Layout DrawingsTesting of electrical systems including, Earth Bonding Testing, Insulation Resistance Testing, Voltage Tests and Continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using calibrated test devices to ensure integrity, compatibility, and safety of systemPowering up of machines following Build and/or installation including I/O checks and motor checks ready to handover to the Software and Commissioning teamsWorking with and supporting the Software and Commissioning teams during the test phase assisting where necessary correcting any issues that may ariseWorking with, installing and maintaining safety critical control systems and associated interlocks, e-stop circuits, pull wire systems, etc.Experience & QualificationsElectrical apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) as a minimum - must be electrically qualified from a base line skills perspectiveEither straight out of an Apprenticeship or years experience in industryFlexibility in general as some travelling is required to global customer sites (few trips per year)Must have an excellent attitude and a willingness to learnWhy Apply?37.5 hours working week - with a lunchtime finish on a Friday25 days holiday + bank holidaysOvertime and expenses3x Life AssuranceYou will be a part of a family run business who have a great working environment, new equipment and are a friendly, close-knit team.
