Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Innovation, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee the full functional safety lifecycle, and ensure engineering excellence from concept through commissioning.What you'll be doingTaking ownership of the Functional Safety lifecycle within a project settingSupervisingand motivatingteams of engineers (including external resources) within a project setting, including the verification of deliverables in line with client expectations, legal requirements and industry standardsMentoring of apprentices, trainees, juniors and graduate engineersCollaboratingwith Project Managers to ensure quality delivery to budget and on time, including the identification and mitigation of project risks and technical changeParticipatingin the Engineering Management Working Group, contributing to the development of internal standards and practices with a focus on continuous improvement and innovationElectrical / controls concept design including Functional Design Specification, Safety Requirements Specification, Single Line Diagram, Network Topology, Device Layout, Cause & effect Matrix, Safety Block Diagram, etcSoftware Design, including Software Design Specification and production of Software / Configuration deliverables for e.g. PLC / HMI / SCADA / Robot / Drives / BMS / etcFactory Acceptance Testing, Commissioning and Site Acceptance TestingTaking ownership of the Technical Construction FileSkills & ExperienceMinimum of BEng / BSE / Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronic EngineeringMinimum of 7 years in a similar roleExcellent understanding of electrical control systemsWhat's on offerCompetitive salaryHolidays 25 days (plus Bank Holidays)Bonus schemeBUPA Medical planCar allowancePension schemeLife InsuranceEmployee assistance programmeFlexible workingProgramme of personal development & trainingFree car parkingEV charge points on-siteSocial & wellbeing activity programmeBike 2 work schemeTPBN1_UKTJ
