Whilst Verity does not communicate verbally, she expresses her needs and feelings through body language and facial expressions. Her family and support team play an important role in interpreting these cues to ensure her comfort and wellbeing. Verity is registered blind, so her care team describes her surroundings and activities to keep her fully engaged.As Nurse Team Leader, you will deliver high-quality clinical care, co-ordinate and lead Support Workers and work closely with Veritys family, Case Manager and MDT to ensure her wellbeing and quality of life.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, effective nursing care at home and in the communityDeliver clinical interventions including PEG feeding, suctioning, respiratory care, catheter care and pressure careMonitor Veritys health and respond promptly to changesLead, supervise and manage a team of Support Workers, ensuring high standards of practiceUpdate care plans, maintain accurate records and oversee rota planningSupport Verity with personal care, communication and social activitiesContribute to ongoing training and ensure a positive team cultureHours:Full-time Monday Friday, 40 hours per week (for example 28 hours care per week and 12 hours team admin to be worked flexibly), with the option to work additional hours at weekends.About YouEssentialFemale personal care requiredRegistered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with current NMC registrationExperience in complex care, brain injury or community nursingConfident leader with strong organisational and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with the Case Manager, maintaining regular and effective communication to ensure cohesive client support.Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided).
