Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in structural steelwork and welding quality management to play a key role in ensuring that all products and processes meet strict quality standards and customer specifications. Working closely with production and management teams, you will help maintain and continuously improve the companys Quality Management System and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards.Responsibilities:Maintain and continually improve the companys ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemOversee quality control for structural steelwork fabrication within the workshop facilityEnsure compliance with EN 1090 requirements up to Execution Class 3 (EXC3), including Factory Production Control (FPC) and welding quality managementAct as the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in accordance with ISO 3834-2 standardsMaintain and update Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Manage welder qualification tests and maintain welder approval records in line with EN ISO 9606Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and ensure full traceability of resultsRepresent the company in client quality meetings and liaise with notified bodies during auditsCompile and manage LTQRs, project quality documentation, and site quality packsRaise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and issue Notices of Inspection (NOIs) for client reviewsConduct internal and supplier audits to verify compliance with EN 1090 and ISO 9001Provide technical support and guidance to site teams on welding and quality-related matters, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)Ensure all work complies with industry codes, standards, and project specifications for structural steelwork up to EXC3Requirements:At least 6 years experience within the structural steelwork or fabrication sectorStrong understanding of welding and fabrication processes and experience preparing and inspecting LTQRsHolds CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Welding Inspector certificationProven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in line with ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090Good knowledge of NDT techniques and relevant welding codes and standardsExperience conducting ISO 9001 and EN 1090 internal auditsSkilled in liaising with clients, subcontractors, notified bodies, and project teamsHighly organised, with strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detailSalary negotiableMonday - FridayIf you are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and have the technical expertise and leadership skills required, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.TPBN1_UKTJ
