CNC Machinist (programmer) c£up to 45kABJ6469Location: South Type: Permanent OnsiteWe are urgently seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a modern, well-structured manufacturing environment. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in precision machining who can programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently to achieve right-first-time results.You will be joining an inclusive, collaborative team within a professional workshop housing state-of-the-artCNC machinery, laser equipment, and CMM inspection. The business supports a diverse range of high-tech sectors including medical, aerospace, semiconductor, nuclear, and other scientific industries.Key Technical Environment: Heidenhain controls5-axis millingOnline programmingLarge part machiningKey AccountabilitiesProgramme, set, and operate CNC milling machinesRead and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufactureCreate and maintain layout sheets detailing tooling, set-ups, and machine parametersWork independently to high standards while meeting production deadlinesInspect and qualify own work using a range of measuring equipmentDocument quality results in line with company proceduresSupport and train colleagues where requiredMaintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, adhering to PPE requirementsContribute to continuous improvement through time- and cost-saving initiativesQualifications & ExperienceTime-served apprenticeship preferred (not essential)Ideally several years experience programming and operating 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machinesStrong proficiency with Heidenhain controls (Fanuc experience advantageous)Ability to take responsibility for own quality, including use of MTE and completion of quality documentationPrevious experience with Doosan, Matsuura, and/or Mazak machinesAbility to machine to tight tolerances (circa20 microns)Experience machininglarge components up to 2.5 metresOverhead crane and manual handling training beneficial (training can be provided)Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitudeHigh focus on quality, productivity, and continuous improvementFlexible and adaptable to support a changing business environmentStrong work ethic essentialBenefits PackageSalary: up to £45,000 per annum (approx. 39-hour week)Holidays: 23 days + 8 bank holidaysPension: 4% matched scheme (post-probation 3 months)To ApplyPlease contact Alison Basson ABJ6469, and call on 0203 9093782, 07814547440 or reply via email, entering the job title and reference code in the subject field toJBRP1_UKTJ
