Sewell Wallis are working closely with a multi-billion-pound business, based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, to secure them an interim Group Accountant who is confident with USGAAP. Working as part of a team you'll be doing statutory accounting for a number of business entities (50+) to ensure that all financial accounting activities are achieved on deadline and to a high quality in line with USGAAP.This role a 12-month fixed term contract, looking to start ASAP - you'll need to be available for interview.What will you be doing?Accurate reporting of financial and performance activities of the businessWork with the team to service all retained Financial Accounting activity ensuring all deliverables are achieved within deadline.Review and challenging of financial results ensuring there is a continual monitoring and improvement in the controls environment around business accounting activities.Develop and deliver balance sheet analysisDevelopment of a quality review of processes & procedures, driving development, efficiencies and implementation of continuous improvement and automation initiativesLiaison with the external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely data provisionProduction and preparation of statutory accountsWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the businessTo undertake SOX compliance and work with the Internal Controls team to implement new control requirements and changes.What skills are we looking for?Experience within a large complex group environmentQualified candidate, ideally practice trainedWorking knowledge of USGAAPExperience with SOX complianceGood communication skillsWhat's on offer?Up to £60,000ASAP startFlexible employer with flexi start/finish timesHybrid working - 2 days on siteParking on siteBig business benefits packageSend us your CV below, or contact Inci Evcil for more information.To apply please send your CV, quoting our reference and specifying which website you saw this position advertised on.
